Expanded Early Voting Begins Today

Voting is important to our community, housing, and to the real estate industry. It shapes policies that directly affect property rights, land use regulations, and local infrastructure developments. By participating in elections, we help ensure that decisions made at local, state, and national levels reflect the needs of homeowners, prospective buyers, and the broader housing market. A strong voter turnout empowers our community to have a say in issues like affordable housing, property taxes, and zoning laws, all of which are crucial to maintaining a healthy real estate industry and a vibrant community.

Important Dates:

  • Early voting is already underway in New Mexico at your County Clerk’s office.

  • Expanded early voting begins October 19, 2024. Click here for specific locations.

  • The last day to request an absentee ballot is October 22, and those absentee ballots must be turned in by November 2.

  • Finally, Election Day is November 5, 2024.

It is essential that you determine how you will vote before November 5th. Most people know exactly who will be at the top of their ballots, but they don't know much about the races that are farther down the ticket. Never undervalue the significance of these races.

In our local communities and statewide, judges, school board members, and county commissioners will have significant impacts. Examine a sample ballot in advance if you are unsure of the candidates in your race.

Here is a Sample Ballot Lookup by Ballotpedia. You will need to enter your address, select an upcoming election date, and view the list of candidates that will be on the ballot.
